Cookie Notice

Ellchat uses only storage needed for sign-in, security and your interface choices in this build.

Effective and last updated: 23 August 2026

Essential session cookie

ellchat_session keeps you signed in. It contains a random token; the database stores only a hash of that token. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production, and normally expires after 7 days. It is essential to provide the account service and does not require an advertising-cookie choice.

Local storage

ellchat-appearance remembers visual preferences on your device. Account preferences are also stored on the server when saved. Clearing site data removes the local copy and signing out removes the active session cookie.

No advertising cookies

This build does not include advertising, cross-site tracking or non-essential analytics cookies. If the deployed service adds optional analytics or another non-essential technology, this notice and the consent interface must be updated before it is enabled.
